Jeff Blevins

Jeff has been married to his wife, Sharie, for over 25 years. They have three daughters and one son-in-law. He has a degree in Pastoral Studies with a minor in counseling from Faith Baptist Bible College. He works as a produce manager at Super One and enjoys reading, sports, and serving at the church.

Steve Dick

Steve invited Jesus to dwell in him when he was a young child and he reports experiencing the uninterrupted attendance of the Holy Spirit from that day on. Since then, Steve has learned that God has a right to require all His people to be holy unto Him, and he is dedicated to serving those who desire to follow Jesus. He is retired and is still refurbishing his old house, yet he sets time apart to counsel and encourage God’s people in their endeavor to live holy lives that honor our Creator. Fifty-one years ago, Steve married Diane, citing that happy event as one of God’s most gracious blessings on him.

Diane Dick

Diane was rescued by Jesus the Messiah in 1967, and has been learning about his steadfast love and faithfulness ever since. Married to Steve since 1971, she continues to learn from him, and from her five sons, five daughters-in-law, fifteen granddaughters and five grandsons. She is retired from her work in higher education administration and is now able to focus on projects including writing, composing, gardening, hospitality, and praying with other grandmas. Through many years of varied ministry endeavors, Diane has experienced and witnessed the efficacy of the Bible and the power of the Holy Spirit in navigating the challenges of marriage, childrearing and professional life, and depends upon that efficacy and power in her counseling work.

Kathy Hayes

Kathy is a life-long believer, still growing her my knowledge of God, understanding of His Word, yet confident in His promises, and excited about what God can do in and through any of our circumstances, when we trust and obey and rely on His Word. She is married to Howard since 1984, mother to 3 married children, and grandmother to 6. Prior to settling in Duluth 24 years ago, Kathy and her family lived in Texas, Arizona, Virginia, and Florida while her husband was in the Air Force. They lived and worked in Amman, Jordan from 2013-2015. She currently serves as Ministry Assistant at The Landing.

 

Brenda Florestano

Brenda grew up in Illinois and moved to Duluth when she married Tom. She has been a parochial and public schools math teacher. She has 4 married sons and 5 grandchildren. Brenda was involved with the Navigators in college and there began to appreciate the value of discipleship for believers. As a teacher, she has seen people struggling with various aspects of life and is a Biblical counselor to help other grow even in the challenges in their lives.

 

Dorothy Sayers

Dorothy has been married to Joe for 34 years. They have three daughters and four grandchildren. She has a degree in Nursing/Psychology from the College of St Scholastica1979. Additional training as a Parish Nurse 2013 and Grief Support group facilitator 2014. After working in secular setting as a Psychiatric Nurse she was called on two occasions to fill positions at churches that were in need of a biblical counselor. As a disciple of Jesus Christ was such rewarding work, allowing her to go deeper and get at the root problem people were facing. While sharing the love of God and truth of the scriptures guided by the Holy Spirit healing and transformation began to take place in the counselees. She loves people and has a heart for seeing others reconciled to God, living in the freedom Jesus Christ bought for us at the cross, our redemption and the forgiveness of our sin. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21.
